So if you want to get started quickly first and learn about the detailed aspects later. Here is a crash course to get you started fast ---

How to Get Started
So you're on board and think you have what it takes to make it in the Assassin's Grid? Well the turf is yours, claim away!

  1. Create an Account at AssassinsGrid.com and get your registration code.
  2. Decide on a faction and pick your faction HUD at SL Marketplace or City of Nu Karne
  3. Right-click-> Wear to equip the HUD given to you in your welcome KIT from your inventory and enter the registration code when prompted by the HUD.
  4. Once linked, start claiming some land to advance in the game! Claim your first 16 lands without Grid events posted to all players (Curator Protection)
  5. Right-click->Wear your WEAPON to be ready for combat (after the first 16 lands, all AG players will be notified which region you are claiming)

How to Claim Land
Claim your first 16 lands without Grid events posted to all players (Curator Protection)

First of all, why claim land?
Claiming a land ensures that you advance in the game by gaining your stats and attributes. The more land you have to your name, the stronger you will become and the harder you will be to kill. You can also collect 'HAFTA' from all the lands you own. Collecting hafta means you get increased amount of money with the more land you have. You will also advance in status and soar higher on the Public Leaderboards.

There are 2 ways to claim land:

  1. Click the flag button on your HUD to claim a land by force. Doing this will start a battle for the region you are currently in. Other players may join in by teleporting to that region. They may fight you for the control of the region, so be aware. If you can stay alive through the duration of your challenge (usually 10min) you win that battle and the land!
  2. Use your Game Credits (REVENUE STAMPS) to claim a land's financial assets immediately. Stamps can be obtained by KILLING other players with bounty on their heads or by purchasing a Game Card at SL Marketplace or City of Nu Karne

How to Fight
Ok now that you are ready to play you probably want to know how to kill another player, correct? Bingo!
First of all, you MUST have your [AG] HUD worn, the Attribute Enhancer MARK given to you in your kit (Mark of the Curator) and your WEAPON equipped. Certain weapons are free and some cost STAMPS or L$ Check them all out at SL Marketplace or City of Nu Karne

  1. Acquire your target:
Remember this is an FPS/RPG hybrid game so you have to target a player by facing them and PRESSING Page-DOWN Key. (or 'C' key whichever is easier for you). If you are using a Mac, use Fn+Down Arrow.
You can be in First Person (Mouse look by pressing 'M' Key) OR Third Person View to target someone.

Note:-> In some viewers, key bindings do not work properly in conjunction with other HUDs so you can also target someone by pressing the cross hair/scope button on your HUD. The First button on your HUD.

    Dual Mode Combat: FPS+RPG
For FPS enthusiasts, this game offers increased damage bonuses for shooting and making precise hits on your target in Mouse look (Marksman) mode by pressing M. However, to use certain mental skill abilities you MUST switch back to RPG mode by getting out of mouse look. You will need to practice getting in and out of Marksman mode based on what the situation dictates. This game tracks your hits as excellent, perfect head shots, weak, poor etc in mouse look mode only. You can ALSO perform weapon attacks in third person mode by targeting someone by pressing C and pressing the attack button on your HUD (the sword icon) or mouse clicking.

If you want to target someone FARTHER than 35 m, you must be in FIRST PERSON VIEW (Mouse look). FPS mode allows you to target players up to 90m away depending upon the range of your GUN you can shoot a player that far away. But for now just stay in 3rd person view and press C in front of another player. You can keep pressing C to cycle through all available targets in front of you. If there is only one target you can press C again to toggle your targeting. You can cancel your target by Click the target window at anytime.

Once a player is targeted, you will see their HEALTH AND ENERGY Bars, their Status and their Faction.
    Health bar is GREEN
    Energy bar is YELLOW

The other bars you see on your HUD are YOURS:
Other than the Health and Energy bar you will see a third bar. That is your ACCURACY. There are about 10 other attributes that affect your game play but
I will leave out the details of each stat or attributes here and let you do some reading at your leisure to understand the mechanics of the game.

  2. NOTE: If you are having trouble targeting someone, check if you are wearing any other HUDs that may be interfering with your targeting. These can be certain AOs. So if you cannot target someone with C key or Page down key, try detaching or turning those HUDs / AOs off.

  3. Attack a player:
Once you have acquired your target, you can now start shooting your gun or swinging your weapons by LEFT MOUSECLICK or by pressing the "ATTACK" Button on your HUD. If your attack was successful you will see their health drop.
The other skills on your HUD are to complement your primary weapon attack and can be used as a combination with your weapon attacks and in between weapon attack. Some of these skills will depend on your faction.

How to Improve Your Attributes
You can enhance your DNA by picking up a Personal Genetic Engineer Kit. Genetic Engineering Kit allows you to create a DNA that enhances your player attributes such as Armor, Bolster, Reflex, Hope, Brawl and Steadfast. Find out more about these stats Here.

Boosters
Running low on energy, health or accuracy? Give yourself a quick boost by using Teas, Tonics, or Crystal HUDs. Teas can be crafted in the Crafting Station by logging into your account on this website. Tonics can be purchased at Nu Karne and Crystal HUDs can be obtained by being an Elementalist. Crystal HUDs provide special resurrection abilities that may revive you sooner than your death timer.

How to Craft and Sell
Ok enough about fighting. You can gather resources from the lands you own or steal from others. There are 2 ways to gather resources:

  1. Click the shovel icon on your HUD when you are on a land that is controlled. (Land must be controlled by either you or someone else or you won't find any resources). You will get a random amount of any resources in the game. If a land is rich in something, you will get that resource more often. You can do so as many number of times as you like.
  2. Use a plethora of Harvesting drones available at SL Marketplace or City of Nu Karne to harvest for you, even when you are asleep! Drones are a great way to harvest what you want rather than depend on luck. They have ways to seek out and find resources that you cannot specifically locate.

Transmutation Artifact allows you to experiment and discover recipes to transmute one or more resources into another resource. (This applies to ALL RESOURCES in the game including rare ones) This is helpful if you want to convert some abundant resources that you may have into the ones that you may need.

Once you have gathered resources, you can either choose to sell them in raw form or craft useful items and structures and then sell the finished product. Crafting and trading can be done at the AGCC (Assassin's Grid Control Center). The site is configured to work with your in world browser by clicking the Nu Karne Icon on your [AG] HUD. The more you craft and sell the higher you will be at those leaderboards.

There is a lot more aspects to the game which I will leave out for now and let you figure them out. But this should get you started.
